Swindon Food Bank
Pray for the success, safety & sponsorship of Janet Gash and Bob Hayward for their Bike ride from Ilfracombe to Plymouth in aid of Swindon Food bank from 18th to 25th July and for a volunteer with a van to help with the logistics.
Flowers in church
If you would like an arrangement of flowers in the church in dedication of a loved one, please can you put the money and a covering letter in an envelope and give it to one of the Wardens (or Raymond if no Warden is available). Then we can send the money to the treasurer and the request to Pam Fletcher and Pat Edge to make up the display.
Treasury service
The church's usual Treasury service will be resumed as soon as possible. In the
meantime anybody who has incurred expense on church business during
Andrew's absence should let Pauline Davis have the receipts so that she
can see that they are paid. Likewise, anybody holding money to be paid
into the church account should also pass to Pauline Davis with an
appropriate note.
What is the latest news about Andrew?
Andrew is continuing to improve steadily. He is taking short walks and carrying out a regular exercise programme to improve his breathing. At the end of July Jean and Andrew are spending a week at a Christian Guest House in Kent attached to a hospital. Please continue to contact Jean before visiting as Andrew is still very easily tired.
Mission Sunday - 18th July
'Mission is the fundamental reality of our Christian life'. (Andrew Kirk.) ('To boldly go.....', Captain James. T. Kirk!). In that sense every Sunday is Mission Sunday, but on July 18th we're having a special focus on Mission, both in our own town and nation and overseas by hearing more about two agencies we support.
Stuart Hall from SYFC will be speaking at the morning service, and we'll be focussing on our mission partners in Paraguay through CMS(SAMS), Sally and Peter Bartlett over our bring and share lunch.
We'll also be looking at how individuals can support children in particular need through sponsoring a child through Compassion International.
Lots to discover, food, friendship and fascinating facts! And hopefully a star demo of Latin dance! Not to be missed

Set sail for adventure
Our children's leaders work very faithfully throughout the year, so we like to give them a break in the summer. This year we will be building our children's work around the Veggie Tales movie "The Pirates who don't do anything".
That DVD will of course be accompanied by plenty of pirate craft, painting etc. Of course, this does require some people willing to help us with children over those three weeks in the middle (August 1 / August 8 / August 15).
So, you will see the red box in the foyer has a number of pieces of paper designed for volunteers in a particular Sunday. All the themes and ideas will be prepared for you in advance so you don't have to think anything up!
Alpha meals
We want to say a big thank you to all those who helped support Alpha by providing a meal this summer. The meal is an inseparable part of Alpha in Holy Trinity Brompton, because young professionals don't have to go home after work and come back into London again. However, for those with young children in Swindon, and for those who require babysitters, a meal doesn't necessarily make life easier. We have always done our best to serve a meal with Alpha, so that people can build up a relationship with one another, while building one with God. Our splendid new kitchen facilities allow us to serve a meal in the lounge to those who are able to come at 6:30pm. That also permits people to turn up at 7:30pm for coffee, giving us a very useful flexibility.
Parish Office
The Parish Office is open on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9am to 1pm. Please provide all items for the bulletin in writing first thing on Wednesday please!
