How did Paul feel as he wrote his letter and what emotions were on his mind?

Tuesday 16th June (2 Corinthians 2:4)

How does God comfort us in times of suffering? In what ways do specific sufferings lead to specific comforts that can then be used to comfort others?

How would this help you to see the providence of God on trials/ suffering?

Wednesday 17th June (2 Corinthians 2:6-8)

What new instruction did Paul give concerning the man disciplined for incest?

Thursday 18th June (2 Corinthians 2:11)

What part does Paul expect the Corinthians to play in his deliverance from severe trials? What does this teach you about the efficacy of prayer?

Friday 19th June (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Over what kind of things is Christ triumphant? What does Paul mean when he says that God “diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place”?

Saturday 20th June (2 Corinthians 2:15-16)

And what two kinds of people does this aroma circulate through?

Sunday 21st June (2 Corinthians 2:15-17)

What issue is Paul focusing on? Why do you think Paul’s change of plans would have been troubling to some at Corinth, and evidence to his enemies that he was a bad leader?

The post Reading Plan (15 – 21 June) Week 3 first appeared on St John's Haydon Wick.

The post Reading Plan (15 – 21 June) Week 3 appeared first on St John's Haydon Wick.

We often think success comes from having the perfect plan. While planning is wise, God is the one who truly directs our lives. Sometimes doors close, plans change, and timing shifts. Not every delay is rejection but at times it is redirection. God sees what we cannot see. Our responsibility is to trust Him enough to keep walking even when the path is challenging or changes.

It is my prayer that you will keep your confidence, hope and trust in God amidst changing seasons of your life.

Spiritual growth is usually gradual, not instant. Just as the sun rises slowly and grows brighter throughout the day, God often works in our lives through steady progress rather than sudden change. A righteous life is built through daily choices to trust God, obey His Word, and keep moving forward even during difficult seasons.

May the Lord be with you.

“Then Jesus said, Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God” (John 11:40)

Belief is not a reaction to results. It is a choice made in uncertainty. Jesus calls for trust before any visible change. The situation looked finished, yet He points Martha back to faith. The lesson is simple buthard. Do not wait for proof. Trust God in the sealed places of your life. That is where His glory becomes visible.

As you walk into this week, walk by faith and not by sight.

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:13)

This is a simple but hard call. To forgive people the way God forgave you. Not because they earned it, but because you were shown grace first. Holding on to hurt can feel right, but it weights you down. Letting it go does not mean it did not matter. It just means you refuse to carry it any longer.

As you walk in this week, let love lead.

Every blessing,

You are already accepted by God, not because of what you have do but because of His grace, so you can stop trying to prove your worth and start living with purpose. Your identity is settled, your calling is intentional, and your actions should come from that place, not from pressure, fear, or comparison.

May God’s word be your source of confidence.
