I am delighted to let you know that the post of Treasurer has been filled. James has agreed to become our Treasurer. James will follow Andrew but in a different way. Our aim is to promote simplification, automation and to develop a Treasury Team.
My sincere thanks go to Tony, Rod, Sharon and Joan for their wonderful support in a very difficult time. Peter has also been active behind the scenes.
They have served the PCC very well over these last few months. Andrew had to hand his books over with no preparation when he could no longer do them. These church members shared the burden of sorting out the piles of past papers, dealing with the many problems that arose, and keeping the books up to date so that they could be handed on to James. We owe them a big debt of gratitude. Gareth treasurer of St Mary’s has also played a vital role in advising us.
Thanks too must go to James for being willing to accept the role under conditions which are less than ideal. We will support him in prayer and in whatever practical way we can.
