Jo and Sarah, inspired by the fabulous work that Alison does with our adult choir each year, have been called by Our Lord to set up a Christmas Choir exclusively for our children to take part in. It is part of a bigger mission which we will share more about next week but here is what you need to know to get your children involved in the Christmas Choir. We are not just looking for singers either! If your child is more of a musician their talents will be greatly appreciated too!

The Children’s Christmas Choir will perform at our Christingle Service on Sunday, 10th December and at our Carol Service on Sunday, 17th December.

Choir Practice Dates

  • Sat 15th & Sun 28th October
  • Sat 12th & Sun 25th November
  • Sun 3rd & Sat 9th December

Each session runs from 2:30pm – 3:45pm. A snack and drink will be provided.

To be in the final performances we ask for attendance at a minimum of 3 out of the 6 practices so please make sure you can commit to that before signing up.

We respectfully ask that for a child to join the Choir they be in Year 1 school age (5/6 as opposed to 4/5 years old).

To register your child for the Choir please email Sarah (c/o the Parish Office) with the following information: Child’s full name, Age, School Year, Parent/Guardian, email address & contact number. You can also sign up in person at Church on Sunday. Jo has left a clipboard on the notice table. Please keep the Children’s Choir in your prayers this week. We have been overwhelmed by the positive response we have received so far and we are excited about the opportunity.

Look out for more information about the longer term plans for this project in next week’s bulletin!
