  • Pray for St John’s Church that God will give us grace, strength, and courage to devote ourselves to His service and to the service of his people of this parish and beyond. Pray that God will open our eyes to see gospel opportunities in our community and step out in faith and obedience.
  • Pray for church leaders, Clergy and Bishop. Enlighten their understanding with the light of your Holy Spirit. In prayer, quicken their devotion; in praises, heighten their love and gratitude; in
    preaching, give them readiness of thought and expression.
  • Pray that God will enable our church leaders to be an instrument of your salvation for the people entrusted to their care. Grant that they may faithfully administer your holy sacraments, wisely oversee the life and work of the Church, and by their life and teaching set forth your true and living Word.
  • As there is but one Body and one Spirit, one hope of our calling, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of us all, empower, lead and guide us all to be of one heart and of one soul, united in one holy bond of truth and grace, of faith and charity, that with one mind and one mouth we may glorify God in all that we do.
  • Pray for the peace and prosperity of Swindon.
