Last Thursday, a group of about 30 people representing both the 9am and 11am services met at Haydon Wick Club for an evening of skittles. We played two different games. In the first game each player had a full set of 9 pins to aim at and the objective was to knock down as many as possible with 3 balls. Each person played 3 rounds and Kath was the eventual winner with the highest score.
The second game was called ‘Killer’ where each player had one shot at the pins remaining from the previous player. If you scored 0, you lost a life. Once 3 lives had been lost your game was over and the rest played until all bar one had been eliminated. The last two were Ali and Julie when there was only one pin left. Ali went first and missed so Julie was asked to play and she also missed so the last man standing ended up being two ladies!
There was small break for refreshments during the evening, and everyone went home after enjoying a very happy evening.
Several people said they would like to do it again and so we will be arranging something in 2025.
