Special congratulations to Revd Trudie Wigley who has just been elected as Chair of the House of Clergy for the next three year period. This is the post Raymond has held for the last nine years.
Many of you will know that Trudie is Area Dean of Swindon. As there is no chance of anyone doing both jobs as well as running a parish Trudie will be stepping down. The Area Dean role will then be filled by someone else.
Bishop Viv has also just announced the appointment of Richard Leaman as our new Diocesan CEO. Richard is a former Rear Admiral and a member of a church in Somerset. This is a major post in our diocese and we will say more about it and introduce Richard in much greater detail in next week’s bulletin.
