It is good to see people responding to our request for leadership at PCC level. Without a committed, prayerful and imaginative PCC we would not have the church that we have today. And most certainly not have the facilities we enjoy.
A church building does not develop itself. Without the PCC we would not have
- The kitchen and lounge – and the ROCK café.
- The upper room for children’s work.
- The office for administration.
- The Quiet Room for meetings and young people.
- The balcony area to accommodate more worshippers.
Somewhere along the line PCC members imagined these things, discussed them, voted for them and committed themselves to financing them.
The development of our Prayer Ministry Team, our Worship Group, our Sound and Visual equipment, our partnership with Uganda, our work with children and young people has all been either initiated, developed or sustained with the support of various PCCs. The list could go on for a long time…
This coming year we have a whole new issue. The 11am will re-open at the end of June and the process of re-opening the church will continue for some months after that? What is God calling us to do and to become? The answer to that question will partly depend on the leadership that the PCC provides.
