Those who have joined us recently will not be aware that Revd Sally Robertson, who is the Assistant Minister in this parish, is currently working in the parish of North Swindon. She is there on secondment. North Swindon is a huge parish geographically. It currently includes Abbey Meads, Haydon End and Taw Hill, as well as the newer estates of Oakhurst, Redhouse, St Andrew’s Ridge and Tadpole Farm. As the estates have grown the parish boundaries have grown along with it. There are now several primary schools, and a secondary school within it, and there is plenty more building to come. The size of the parish and how the needs of those living there will be met, is something that will be on a future agenda.

The immediate concern is for a new vicar to replace Caroline Baston who left last year. The Diocese has been advertising the post nationally or the last few weeks.

The date for interviews is January 31st. Please pray for the right person both to apply and to be selected.
