“The joy of the Lord is my strength” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Welcome to 2026!! The Lord is indeed good and faithful. We seek to begin this new month with joy that is found in the Lord. Each year and month has its highs and lows of life, but we will choose inner strength and resilience that is rooted in God’s character and his unwavering faithfulness.

We do not know how this year will plan out, but our confidence and hope rest in Jesus Christ our Lord. When we lean on him, we find the strength to keep going, no matter what we may be up against.

When we’re overwhelmed by the storms of life: Remember that our hope isn’t in circumstances improving but in God’s promises holding true. Choosing joy in Him will guard our hearts from despair.

When we face personal trials: Whether it’s health struggles, financial pressures, relational conflicts, or any other challenges, and feel we can’t do this on my own. Declare like Paul: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Remember that Jesus’ joy provides inner strength when our own strength runs dry.

In our daily walk with others: May the Joy of the Lord within us be contagious with others. When we carry God’s joy into our workplaces, homes, and communities, we will shine His light in ways words alone cannot.

The devil wants us to live discouraged and defeated. But choosing joy in the Lord is an act of resistance, of defiance—it declares that no matter what, we belong to Christ, and His victory is already won.

May His joy fill your heart and renew your mind.

Every blessing,
Patches
