A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Sagaing region of Myanmar at around 1:30 PM local time (6:30 AM UK) on Friday 28th March 2025, impacting communities and putting millions of children and families at risk. The Myanmar earthquake was felt across the region, including in Thailand, where residents in Bangkok and surrounding areas experienced significant tremors. At least four aftershocks have followed, deepening fear and uncertainty.

Homes and buildings have been destroyed across the country and as far away as Bangkok, Thailand. Schools are in ruins, and children are now facing the terrifying aftermath with nowhere safe to turn. Right now, families are desperately searching for loved ones. Many have lost everything.

This devastating earthquake has left families without homes, food, clean water or safe shelter. Children are sleeping outside. Many are injured. All are afraid. They’ve lost everything they knew, and they need urgent support to survive the coming days. Please pray.
