We have received the following letter from Bwaziba school, which St John’s supports through our link with Uganda.
This is Mabel the new Headteacher of Bwaziba c/u primary who has replaced Akuro.
I am glad to have had this opportune moment to say hi to you. Allow me also to convey our greetings from Bwaziba family and to thank you for the great services you are rendering to our school.
Bwaziba is fine and we have successfully resumed school for term 2 2023 and will close the term on 25th August 2023.
I also wish to share with you some of the previous term’s achievements:
- We participated in National Kid’s athletics in which one of our learners Nanteza represented Luwero and emerged 48th out of 144 Districts.
- We have created a library to enable learners access different textbooks that are issued by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- We have also managed to set up a school garden on an acre of land.
- We as well fed all children on porridge through out the term.
- We did charity work such as issuing books, pens/pencils and other items to the needy learners.
