Everything has been affected by Covid not least Operation Christmas Child. This year it is going to have be done differently. Clearly our own tradition of passing the shoeboxes along a human chain at the end of the church service can’t happen this year.

  1. Traditional Packing – Despite the current circumstances it’s still possible for you to pack shoeboxes in the traditional way. Finding a drop off point is more difficult this year. So far we have been able to identify one in Swindon at The Entertainer toyshop in town. It would be best for people who want to make up a box to take your own boxes there this year. Anticipating these difficulties, Samaritan’s Purse has another option.
  2. Shoebox Online – If putting a shoebox is tricky this year, Shoebox Online makes it easy for you to get involved from home. Simply select your gifts online and Samaritan’s Purse will pack and send it for you.

How do I do that?

The easiest way is always to look at a video. First of all, go to YouTube and search for the video called “Pack a Shoebox Online”. They will show you how you can

  • Choose your shoebox
  • Add the toys
  • Personalise it
  • Last, but not least, pay for it

You can still give a child a great present this year.
