We have two events going on in North Swindon over the weekend.

St Mary’s Rodbourne Cheney will be hosting 24 hours of prayer, with prayers being led by individuals or church groups from all over Swindon. That will start at 7pm on Friday 26th May in the Church beginning with prayer led by Bishop Lee. You can join in any time during the next 24 hours. The church will be open.

Prayer in the Park

Or you can join the Global Wave of Prayer in The Walled Garden, Lydiard Park on 28th May 2017 from 2pm – 6 pm. There will be a chance to explore many interactive Prayer Stations from 2-5pm on that day. You can bring along a picnic and share in the Celebration at 4pm. Or join in with an open-air act of worship at 5pm.

What are we praying for?

Archbishop Justine is calling for a wave of prayer between Ascension and Pentecost, specifically that people might know Jesus. How wonderful to have an Archbishop for Canterbury who sees this as his number one aim!

On Sunday morning we have a prayer-gift for everyone which is part of the resources provided by “Thy Kingdom Come”. It will help you during the eleven days of this event but will also help you to continue praying beyond that period.

I would love to tell you what it is, but it would spoil my sermon.
