“And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat” (Mark 6:31).
Rest
Rest is what we all need but what many of us neglect. You must get to a point where you make rest and taking care of yourself a priority.
Unfortunately, it is one of those things that are easier said than done. Some cannot rest due to continuous work to provide financially for themselves, and they are those who cannot rest because everything falls on them, if they stop then everything comes to an end. Others have been going nonstop for so long, they truly don’t know how to rest. My prayer for you in the festival season is that whatever side of the spectrum you find yourself on, allow yourself some REST this season. May peace be your portion and joy be your newfound gift.
