The Diocese of Bristol is running its Ministry Experience Scheme again from this autumn. It is a great opportunity for young people to get experience of ministry and to be paid the real living wage for 30 hours a week for 10 months.
Do you want to explore whether God is calling you to ministry in the Church of England by gaining experience of what it is really like?
Are you:
- aged between 18 and 30?
- wanting to be supported as you explore God’s calling on your life?
- looking to serve across the life of the church: from supporting outreach initiatives and running groups for children to leading worship and exploring the Christian faith with others?
- wanting to grow in your ministry and discipleship through theological training and mentoring?
- wanting to experience ministry on the inside as part of a lay and ordained team?

Although just two placements in Bristol are featured in the information pack, placements are available elsewhere in the diocese. In particular, the diocese is keen to ensure that young people with global majority heritage, and others who have previously been underrepresented in ministry, benefit from the scheme.
Shortlisting for places is at the end of May.
