This is a question many of us are asking at the moment and the simple answer is: Not much … yet.

What with one of the churchwardens going off to the Caribbean and then the Easter holidays, the PCC have not met since Raymond left us. Whilst some of us have been discussing what to do, there is nothing definite to share. The PCC is meeting this coming week on Monday 24th April and will be considering the plans for the writing of our Parish Profile, reviewing our vision for St John’s and the timetable for the recruitment of our next vicar. We should be able to give an update on this in next week’s bulletin.

In other exciting news, some of the PCC met on Thursday with a clergy person who might be seconded part-time to us to help cover the vacancy. (The outcome is unknown at time of going to press and we may have to wait for official approval before we can say more.)

Please do pray for the PCC meeting, that we would be able to agree good plans and know how the Lord is guiding us.

The plans of the Lord stand firm for ever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. (Psalm 33:11)
