It might not have been a miracle, but it was a remarkable achievement.

We want to say a huge thank you to all those who were involved in the HK UK friendship festival last Saturday at Supermarine. Some 400 people attended the event.

We learned a lot of British idioms as part of the Friendship Festival, so we take our hats off to Charmain.

The Swindon Hong Kongers came up trumps providing everyone with really delicious Chinese food. It was definitely not a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. Everybody was needed there.

Our thanks to those who led the actions on stage and for all those who manned the stalls all day and made the tree—now in the corner of the church as a reminder of the event. If you would like to hang a prayer or name of a person on there, please do.

When Charmaine was asked on BBC Wiltshire Sound earlier that morning if she was planning to do it all again next year, I expect the colour drained from her face. We could not see her expression.

Thanks too for the lovely Chinese snacks after the 11am last week—the seaweed was probably an acquired taste.
