You may have noticed that Simon hasn’t been in St John’s recently. He is currently doing a 6 week placement at St Bartholomew’s in Wootton Bassett.
Simon is exploring whether to go forward for ordination and, as part of this, the Diocesan advisors have recommended he spend some time at an Anglican church that has a different style to St John’s. We have had people spending time with us, for the same reason.
St Bartholomew’s is a town centre church, with a robed choir and a ceremonial eucharistic and catholic tradition. It will be very different – as you can see from the photo. Simon looks forward to returning to St John’s in March.
