Good Friday
It was really cold but a spiritually uplifting experience to be outside and singing on the morning of Good Friday.
This picture gives you an idea of the social distancing. However, there were a lot of us spread from one end of the car park to the other with the musicians in the middle. We asked those coming to the service to park in Morrissons or the Haydon Centre.
Our portable PA system was really effective. Who knows? It might even find its way outside again as the weather warms up. Singing together outside was a real joy.
And we had a brilliant Easter Service from Lesley Mead and her all-age team. It was great to see so many people involved in this. The dancing, singing, story-telling, Easter Garden creation and, of course, the puppets, made it a memorable morning.
Virtual SonRise Service
We had little time to advertise Andy’s online service. It deserved a wider audience. We will be making an updated version available for next Easter Day.
