Despite the upheaval of coronavirus, James continues to look after our finances. He is just about to submit our claim for Gift Aid to HMRC.
The total claim for the General Fund will be just over £20,900. This is a great sum to receive even if is “a little short of budget”.
James had hoped to make a claim of just over £21,000 but £20,9000 was a pretty good result under the circumstances. It is “certainly a welcome injection of funding” as far as our treasurer is concerned.
A huge thank you to all those whose Gift Aid helped us reach this target. The title of our Renewal of Giving was “Giving to God in Uncertain Times.” Never was a title more appropriate.
If you are a tax payer giving to St John’s, but not giving by Gift Aid, there are 20,900 reasons why it would be a very good idea.
