Most Christians in Kuwait are migrant workers.Conversion from Islam to another faith is not recognised.
Evangelism is strictly forbidden. Kuwaiti believers from Muslim backgrounds face pressure from their families and communities to deny their faith. They are not permitted a Christian marriage or funeral. They risk discrimination, harassment, police monitoring and intimidation – though, thankfully, reports of Christians being killed, imprisoned or harmed for their faith are rare.
