We often hear the expression, “They voted with their feet.”

Usually this is meant in a negative sense. But in the case of Pram Club, it is definitely the other way round. On a single day two weeks ago, four new mums joined with, of course, their children. Pram Club is more popular than ever. Lynda and her team want to have enough helpers to cover all the tasks that need to be done, but also to have time for the parents, carers and children.

Our aim is not just to provide toys and a room but to be able to befriend and interact with those who come along. Doing all the tasks became a little more difficult to do a week or two ago after Joan started to suffer serious problems with her hip. Joan looked after things in the kitchen. We are going to miss her vital contribution to the group.

Lynda says: “We are looking for someone who is able to help by being in the kitchen making tea and coffee. Also to help with setting out and tidying away toys and
equipment from 8.30 or 8.45 a.m.”

There is a rota system if you cannot be there every week you can still be part of what we do. The more help you can give the better.

Faith is an integral part of what we do. This Monday morning there will be a Harvest Service, planned and run by members of the team who work and pray together. Adults and children will be turning to God to give thanks. Could you be involved with us? Is this something God is calling you to do?
