Next week we want to introduce the Strategic Plan and spend a few more weeks thinking about it. Mark and Anna have been really helpful in enabling us to think about the strategy we want to develop as a church and as a PCC.
Next Sunday we will spend some time looking at what we believe God is calling us to in the future. We need to acknowledge the big changes that have taken place. Sally’s departure to North Swindon and Andrew’s passing have meant that a church which two years ago had three licensed clergy now has one. That inevitably makes a big difference. It cannot do otherwise.
Our PCC is not in the business of decline, because we believe God is not in the business of decline. But we need the right structures. We need the right people serving. And we need to make ourselves available to the power of the Holy Spirit. Much more next week.
