We were delighted to hear that Doreen’s shoulder operation has been a huge success. From not being able to move her arm or even sleep on her side a few weeks ago, she can now throw a ball without pain. Mary was in church two weeks ago, and, for the first time in months she was not in a wheel chair but walking freely. Sarah’s recovery from sepsis continues and John tells me that she is now back home again. It reminds us of the need to thank God for our NHS and for the incredible blessings we have. It also acts as a reminder to us of all those people around the world who do not have access to medical treatment. On Sunday, 9th June, Bill will be telling us more about the extraordinary work of Mercy Ships who provide a floating hospital for thousands in need. He will be part of that great work this autumn.
