Dear friends at St John’s Haydon Wick,
Thank you for giving £84,600 as a parish in 2017 to support ministry and mission across the diocese. As well as supporting ministry in your own parish, your generosity is resourcing the training of new leaders to grow the church, and funding leadership and mission everywhere, including areas of great need which would otherwise be unable to afford it.
We’ve been heartened to see the responsible, generous and faithful responses of churches like yours to the challenge of resourcing our shared vision of growing God’s kingdom. Together parishes increased their contribution by £250,000, entirely meeting the amount needed for 2017.
Sustained investment is needed over the coming years to grow new leaders, to make disciples and to engage younger generations in the church….And this will involve all of us continuing to step out in faith.
