ArkJ.A.M. in the Ark preparation meeting

There will be a preparation meeting for all the helpers for J.A.M. in the Ark on Thursday, 19th April at 7:45pm in St John's church.

We are very sorry that this date clashes with the It Takes Two evening - it's the only date we can get all leaders together and we cannot have a preparation meeting without them!

Annual report and accounts 2006

The St John's Annual Report and Accounts for 2006 are displayed on the notice board In the church foyer. If anyone would like to have a copy to study in more detail before The Annual Parochial Church meeting on Monday 30th April, please have a word with Andrew who will be happy to supply one.

Street pastors logoStreet pastors

There is a new initiative by the churches to provide street pastors in Old Town and New Town areas of Swindon. Christians would work alongside the police to offer pastoral support in the various situations that arise in the town area on a Friday and Saturday evening. You will hear more about this soon. Please do pray for Paul Rush who is now putting the whole thing together.

Building project

Construction workersIf you have not already contributed towards the cost of the building project, it is not too late to do so. If you have made a pledge, we would like these to be converted into gifts by the time the work is completed in June if at all possible.

When the construction work is completed, we will need furniture, equipment, carpets and curtains. You can help by filling phials for furnishings! Just take one of the phials from the basket in the church room and fill it with your small change. Already 13 have been returned containing a total of just over £150!

See the building work in progress...
